Amends the definition of "hotel" in Hawaii Revised Statutes Section 281-1 by removing the requirement that hotels maintain a kitchen and dining room where meals are regularly prepared and served.

Hotel qualification for liquor licensing now requires only that an establishment consist of one or more buildings with a prescribed number of rooms offering sleeping accommodations to transient or permanent guests for adequate pay.

Removes the mandatory meal service requirement that previously applied to all establishments seeking hotel class liquor licenses.

Takes effect upon approval.
