Prohibits noncompete and nonsolicit clauses in employment contracts, post-employment contracts, or separation agreements for employees of technology businesses and licensed physicians.

Declares such clauses void and of no force and effect, while preserving the ability to restrict use of trade secrets under existing law.

Defines "technology business" as any trade or business relying on software development or information technology.

Defines "licensed physician" as physicians and osteopathic physicians licensed by the Hawaii medical board under chapter 453.

Applies to all written noncompete and nonsolicit clauses entered into after June 30, 2014, and to amendments to existing agreements created before July 1, 2014.
