Request the Hawaii Access to Justice Commission to convene a working group to develop an educational loan repayment program for William S. Richardson School of Law graduates pursuing public interest careers in Hawaii.

Working group composition includes members from the Access to Justice Commission, law school faculty and students, Hawaii State Bar Association, Hawaii Supreme Court, legal service providers, Hawaii Justice Foundation, legislative representatives, and the Governor's Office.

Working group directed to explore alternative methods for encouraging law graduates to pursue public interest work, evaluate compatibility with federal loan repayment programs, and consider establishing a post-graduate apprenticeship incubator program.

Working group to draft proposed legislation or alternative measures needed to implement loan repayment or other programs that support lawyers serving underserved communities.

Working group must submit final report with findings, recommendations, and any proposed legislation to the Legislature no later than 20 days before the 2015 Regular Session convenes.
