Request the Department of Land and Natural Resources to convene a task force to recommend designated areas on state properties where ahu (Hawaiian stone heaps or platforms used as markers or memorials) can be erected.

Task force composition includes the Chairperson of the Board of Land and Natural Resources, Administrator of the State Historic Preservation Division, Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of the Office of Hawaiian Affairs, a representative from the Association of Hawaiian Civic Clubs, and a representative from the Bernice Pauahi Bishop Museum.

Department of Land and Natural Resources must report findings and recommendations to the Legislature no later than twenty days prior to the 2015 Regular Session.

Task force dissolves on June 30, 2015.

Transmit certified copies of the resolution to the Chairperson of the Board of Land and Natural Resources, State Historic Preservation Division, Office of Hawaiian Affairs, Association of Hawaiian Civic Clubs, and Bernice Pauahi Bishop Museum.
