Requests Department of Education to partner with Department of Agriculture, Office of Planning, Hawaii Farm Bureau Federation, and other agricultural stakeholders to develop a farm-to-school program providing locally grown produce to salad bars at all public schools in Hawaii.

Encourages Department of Education to provide salad bars at all public schools in the state.

Requires Department of Education to report to the Legislature no later than twenty days prior to the convening of Regular Sessions of 2015 to 2019 on its efforts to develop and implement the farm-to-school program and establish salad bars.

Identifies research showing that school salad bars increase student consumption of fruits and vegetables and promote lifetime healthy eating habits.

Cites Kamaile Academy in Waianae as a model school that successfully operates a salad bar with locally grown produce on campus.
