University of Hawaii requested to submit comprehensive reports to the Legislature prior to Regular Sessions of 2015, 2016, and 2017 assessing graduate program value and impact.

Each report must include enrollment numbers by degree type, Hawaii resident enrollment, graduate job placement in Hawaii, employment in field of study, tuition payments, graduate assistant stipends, faculty assignments, and program operating costs.

First report due before 2015 session must include data from 2011-2012, 2012-2013, and 2013-2014 school years; subsequent reports cover the immediately preceding school year.

Resolution seeks to determine whether graduate programs meet community needs and provide job opportunities for graduates in Hawaii given the state's annual $12,000,000 investment in administrative personnel supporting graduate students.

Certified copies to be transmitted to Board of Regents, University of Hawaii System President, and chancellors of University of Hawaii at Manoa, Hilo, West Oahu, and Maui College.
