Urges the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations to report U-6 unemployment figures alongside U-3 figures in main text of reports and press releases.

U-3 measures total unemployed as a percent of civilian labor force and was Hawaii's average unemployment rate of 4.8 percent for the fourth quarter of 2012 through the third quarter of 2013.

U-6 is a more comprehensive measure including total unemployed, marginally attached workers, and those employed part-time for economic reasons, which showed Hawaii's average unemployment rate of 11.3 percent for the same period.

Currently, the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations reports U-6 figures only in technical notes or footnotes rather than in the main text, limiting accessibility to policymakers and analysts.

Requires transmission of a certified copy of the resolution to the Director of Labor and Industrial Relations.
