Commemorates and recognizes February 8 as the date U.S. Congress introduced legislation to add "under God" to the Pledge of Allegiance, marking the introduction of Senator Homer Ferguson's bill in 1954.

Designates February 8 as a date to remind American citizens and people of Hawaii that America was founded on Christian principles and to highlight the importance of Judeo-Christian values in the nation's history.

Requests that the compelling history of February 8, 1954, be posted in schools and public buildings throughout Hawaii.

Requires certified copies of the resolution be transmitted to the Governor, Lieutenant Governor, State Board of Education, and Capitol Press Corps for dissemination to schools and state agencies.
