Requests the University of Hawaii expand the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute to all campuses within the University of Hawaii System, currently available only at the Manoa campus.

Recognizes the growing senior population in Hawaii, with those aged 75 and older increasing 116 percent from 1990 to 2012.

Cites continuing education as a method to maintain mental health and prevent age-related cognitive decline such as Alzheimer's disease and dementia.

Notes the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute provides free classes to seniors (kupuna) to keep them mentally active.

Directs certified copies of the resolution be sent to the University of Hawaii Board of Regents Chairperson, Interim President, and Interim Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs.
