Request Board of Regents of University of Hawaii to amend policies granting waiver of nonresident tuition differential to honorably discharged veterans from U.S. Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marine Corps, and Navy, regardless of state residence

Board of Regents may limit waiver to veterans intending to use benefits provided by Post 9/11 Veterans Education Assistance Act of 2008

Notes that over 1,500,000 veterans have used Post 9/11 GI Bill benefits since 2009, with 17% increase in usage, and at least 20 states have passed similar veteran tuition waiver policies

Resolution to be transmitted to Board of Regents Chairperson, University of Hawaii President, campus chancellors, and Associated Students of the University of Hawaii
