Amends Hawaii Revised Statutes Section 302D-26 to change probationary period requirements for licensed charter school teachers entering the Department of Education

Removes the one-year maximum probationary period for non-tenured charter school teachers and replaces it with probationary requirements determined by DOE policies, the Hawaii teacher standards board, and collective bargaining agreements

Removes the exemption from probationary service for tenured DOE teachers transferring to charter schools and instead subjects them to the appropriate collective bargaining agreement

Takes effect July 1, 2015
