Proposes amendment to Hawaii Constitution Article III, Section 4 to establish legislative term limits of 12 consecutive years for House members and 12 consecutive years for Senate members.

Term limits apply only to years of service calculated after the general election of 2016.

Members may complete their current term even if reaching the 12-year limit before the term ends.

Ballot question asks voters whether to limit legislature members to maximum of 12 consecutive years in either chamber with service years counted after the 2016 general election.

Amendment takes effect upon compliance with Hawaii Constitution Article XVII, Section 3.
