Allows the Director of the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations to establish workforce advisory boards to be placed in the department for administrative purposes only.

Director or designee serves as chairperson of any workforce advisory board, with membership designated by the director based on knowledge, experience, and expertise of partners, stakeholders, educators, and employers.

Boards shall coordinate and align workforce programs to meet worker and employer needs, engage employers to align training with required skills, provide new and incumbent worker training, and align performance indicators for core programs.

Members serve without compensation but are reimbursed for expenses including travel incurred in performing their duties.

Effective date is July 1, 2030.
