Appropriates funds for the interdisciplinary Hawaii Health Systems Corporation primary care training program at Hilo Medical Center to address the state's shortage of primary care providers.

Program includes family medicine residency training, advanced practice nurses, clinical pharmacists, and psychology fellows coordinated across Hawaii Health Systems Corporation regions to create interdisciplinary teams capable of serving four times as many patients as independent physicians.

Four new residents will join the training program in July 2015, with an average incremental cost of $150,000 per resident.

Appropriates unspecified amounts from general revenues for fiscal years 2015-2016 and 2016-2017 to be expended by the Hawaii Health Systems Corporation.

Takes effect on July 1, 2050.
