Requests the Board of Education to review whether the student representative to the Board should be given voting rights instead of remaining a non-voting member.

References S.B. No. 834 (2015) which proposes amending Hawaii Revised Statutes section 302A-121 to add a voting student member to the Board of Education.

Notes that testimony supported giving the student representative voting power to provide equally weighted input from the student population on the Board.

Requires the Board of Education to submit findings, recommendations, and any proposed legislation to the Legislature no later than twenty days before the 2016 Regular Session convenes.

Directs that a certified copy of the resolution be transmitted to the Chairperson of the Board of Education.
