Requests the Department of Education to include a base amount in the weighted student formula to cover physical plant operations, including maintenance and security needs.

Directs the Department of Education to consult with the Committee on Weights to consider school acreage as a factor when determining base funding allocations for physical plant operations.

Addresses disadvantages faced by schools with large campuses and small enrollments, which require significant resources for custodians and security but receive limited base funding under the current formula.

Requires certified copies of the resolution to be transmitted to the Board of Education Chairperson, Superintendent of Education, and Committee on Weights Chairperson.
