Request the State Auditor to conduct a comprehensive audit of the Real Estate Commission's policies, procedures, and management.

Commission oversees 18,557 licensees statewide and 1,591 registered condominium associations but has never been subject to a comprehensive organizational audit.

Audit must analyze Commission's management, investigative powers and contracted investigations, adoption of administrative rules for chapter 514B, condominium mediation program, and fee collection practices.

Commission was authorized to adopt administrative rules for chapter 514B in 2005 but has not completed the formal rulemaking process despite initiating it in 2009.

Auditor must submit findings and recommendations to the Legislature no later than 20 days before the Regular Session of 2016.
