Request the Federal Bureau of Investigation to report crimes and offenses relating to domestic violence as a separate category under the Uniform Crime Reporting program.

Direct the FBI to develop parameters defining crimes and offenses relating to domestic violence for reporting purposes under the Uniform Crime Reporting program.

Require the Research and Statistics Branch of the Department of the Attorney General to work with the FBI to pursue domestic violence reporting as a separate Group A offense.

Direct the Department of the Attorney General to work with county police departments to develop an annual report on domestic violence crimes and offenses in Hawaii.

Require the Department of the Attorney General to report to the Legislature no later than twenty days before each Regular Session on progress made in designating domestic violence crimes as reportable offenses under the Uniform Crime Reporting program.
