Request the Department of Land and Natural Resources and counties to improve public beach access for persons with disabilities at beaches with public restroom facilities or in ocean recreation management areas.

Direct the department and counties to consider topography and physical characteristics of beach transit corridors when providing shoreline access for disabled persons.

Require the Department of Land and Natural Resources and counties to report to the Legislature no later than twenty days before the 2017 Regular Session on the status of beach access improvements for persons with disabilities.

Transmit certified copies of the resolution to the Chairperson of the Board of Land and Resources and the mayors of Hawaii County, Maui County, Kauai County, and Honolulu.
