• Requests the Department of Education to align standardized tests with state curriculum standards and utilize test data to inform educational decision-making for optimal student outcomes.

• Directs the Department of Education to accept teacher feedback on standardized test composition and administration, and to act upon that feedback as appropriate.

• Requires the Department of Education to provide professional development to all administrators and teachers on interpreting standardized test data.

• Requests the Department of Education to commission independent audits of standardized testing materials and protocols on a regular basis by an independent contractor with expertise in educational testing.

• Directs the Department of Education to seek federal funds to provide specialized instructional support and targeted programs for students identified by standardized testing data as failing to make sufficient progress.
