Commends the Japanese Women's Society Foundation for creating the "Adopt-A-Mom" program, started in 1995 by organizer Lillian Yajima to recognize mothers unable to celebrate Mother's Day with family members.

Designates the third Sunday of May as "Adopt-A-Mom" Day in Hawaii, following former Governor Neil Abercrombie's announcement that this date would be added to the official state calendar beginning in 2016.

Encourages all families and agencies working with elderly Hawaiians to observe "Adopt-A-Mom" Day to honor elderly women and their invaluable role in the community.

Acknowledges the Japanese Women's Society Foundation's efforts to maintain a care home at Kuakini Medical Center for elderly women of limited means.

Directs certified copies of the resolution be transmitted to the Director of the Executive Office on Aging and Japanese Women's Society Foundation board members.
