Request Department of Land and Natural Resources to conduct feasibility and cost study for constructing a boat ramp in east Molokai between mile markers ten and sixteen.

Current conditions require east Molokai boaters to travel to Kaunakakai Harbor due to shallow mud flats and fringing reefs that prevent safe marine access during low tide.

East Molokai residents rely heavily on fishing for food due to limited retail commodities and high costs, making improved boat access essential for subsistence fishing.

Department of Land and Natural Resources must submit findings and recommendations report to the Legislature no later than twenty days prior to the 2016 Regular Session convening.

Certified copy of resolution to be transmitted to the Chairperson of the Board of Land and Natural Resources.
