Requests the State Auditor evaluate the impact that the NextEra Energy merger with Hawaiian Electric Industries may have on Hawaii's energy industry workers.

Directs the Auditor to assess possibilities for transitioning affected workers into renewable energy jobs and incentivizing companies to transition their workforce to renewable energy sectors.

Directs the Auditor to evaluate incentive options to maintain sustainable employment and middle-class living standards for workers affected by the merger.

Directs the Auditor to assess methods for deterring energy industry companies from taking actions detrimental to Hawaii workers and communities.

Requires the Auditor to submit findings, recommendations, and any proposed legislation to the Legislature by September 31, 2015.
