Department of Land and Natural Resources is requested to evaluate its rules relating to state beach parks to determine feasibility of allowing greater access for persons accompanied by pet animals

DLNR must identify which state beach parks may reasonably accommodate pet animals and determine which species of pet animals may be appropriately allowed in those parks

DLNR must consider other factors deemed necessary and submit findings and recommendations, including any proposed legislation, to the Legislature no later than twenty days before the 2016 Regular Session

Addresses the current prohibition of pet animals in most state beach parks and the absence of pet-friendly beach parks on certain islands
