Requests the Public Utilities Commission to work with major utility industries in Hawaii to develop a mechanism for coordinating repairs to damaged utility poles.

Acknowledges that approximately 55,000 utility poles are jointly owned by multiple utilities (electricity, phone, streetlights) and 15,000 are solely owned by Hawaiian Electric Company.

Notes that while electricity service is often restored quickly after pole damage, cable and phone services can take 5-6 months to restore, causing significant hardship to residents and businesses.

Directs the Commission to consider the One Call Center (established in 2004 to coordinate underground utility locations) and its advisory board structure as a potential model for pole repair coordination.

Requires the Public Utilities Commission to submit certified copies of this resolution to the Chair of the Public Utilities Commission upon passage.
