Request the State Auditor to conduct a financial and management audit of the Hawaii Invasive Species Council, an inter-agency body attached to the Department of Land and Natural Resources.

Require the audit to evaluate the efficiency of the Council's funding allocation strategy for invasive species mitigation and eradication projects.

Direct the Auditor to assess whether the Council's current approach of funding many mitigation projects is cost-effective compared to focusing on fewer eradication projects.

Require the Auditor to submit findings, recommendations, and any proposed legislation to the Legislature no later than twenty days before the 2016 Regular Session convenes.

Transmit certified copies of the resolution to the Auditor and members of the Hawaii Invasive Species Council.
