Request Governor and Department of Transportation to include cruise ship passenger terminal improvements in the 2017-2018 Supplemental Capital Improvement Program for Nawiliwili Harbor (Kauai), Honolulu Harbor (Oahu), Kahului Harbor (Maui), and Hilo Harbor (Hawaii).

Cruise ship passengers generated $6.9 million in fee revenue in FY 2014-2015 through debark fees ($6), embark fees ($6), and in-transit fees ($5 per port visit).

Approximately 250,000 cruise ship passengers passed through Hawaii's harbor system annually during FY 2012-2013 through FY 2014-2015.

Request Department of Transportation continue collaborating with Hawaii Tourism Authority to promote heritage tourism and original Hawaii artwork at passenger terminals.

Direct transmission of resolution to Hawaii's congressional delegation, governors, mayors, county council chairs, and cruise industry representatives.
