Commends the Japanese Women's Society Foundation for creating the "Adopt-A-Mom" program, which began in 1995 to recognize mothers unable to celebrate Mother's Day with family members.

Designates the third Sunday of May as "Adopt-A-Mom" Day in Hawaii, effective beginning in 2016, following Governor Neil Abercrombie's announcement.

Encourages all families and agencies working with elderly people in Hawaii to observe "Adopt-A-Mom" Day and recognize the contributions of elderly women.

Highlights the Japanese Women's Society Foundation's care home at Kuakini Medical Center, which provides dignified care to elderly women of limited means.

Directs certified copies of the resolution to be transmitted to the Director of the Executive Office on Aging and Japanese Women's Society Foundation board members.
