Requests the State Auditor to conduct an audit of all Family Court child custody proceedings where family violence was alleged from January 1, 2004 through December 31, 2009.

Audit to assess the use and application of Hawaii Revised Statutes Section 571-46(a)(9)-(14), which addresses family violence in child custody disputes.

Auditor to submit findings and recommendations to the Legislature no later than twenty days before the 2016 Regular Session convenes.

Addresses concerns that Family Court judges may not be correctly applying or enforcing family violence statutes, potentially harming domestic violence survivors and their children in custody proceedings.

Copies of the resolution to be transmitted to the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, Chief Court Administrators of each Circuit, and the State Auditor.
