Request Department of Land and Natural Resources to conduct a feasibility and cost study for constructing a boat ramp in east Molokai between mile markers 10 and 16.

Study addresses limited marine access on east Molokai due to shallow mud flats and fringing reefs, making it impossible to launch or dock boats during low tide.

Current boaters must travel to Kaunakakai Harbor, consuming substantial time and fuel, while east Molokai residents rely on fishing as a primary food source.

Department must submit report with findings and recommendations to the Legislature no later than 20 days prior to the 2016 Regular Session.

Certified copy of resolution to be transmitted to Chairperson of Board of Land and Natural Resources.
