Urges the Department of Education to name the new building at Waimanalo Elementary School after Al Lewis, a community leader born in Honolulu on May 28, 1944.

Recognizes Al Lewis's eighteen-year service on the Waimanalo Neighborhood Board and his dedication to public service through involvement with the Democratic Party of Hawaii and local labor unions.

Honors Lewis's community contributions including driving kupuna to appointments, organizing community events, and supporting youth athletic fundraisers and the Waimanalo Carnival.

Requires certified copies of the resolution to be transmitted to the Superintendent of Education, Complex Area Superintendent, Waimanalo Elementary School Principal, Waimanalo Neighborhood Board Chair, and Florence Lewis.
