• Commends the veterans of the Military Intelligence Service (MIS) who served with the U.S. Army during World War II, many of whom were Hawaiian residents of Japanese ancestry.

• Recognizes that MIS Nisei soldiers served as interpreters, translators, interrogators, and combat infantrymen against Japan, and were present at Japan's formal surrender 70 years prior to 2015.

• Acknowledges that MIS veterans' service went largely unheralded due to secrecy and the temporary, unrecorded nature of their assignments, despite saving countless lives and shortening the war.

• Honors notable MIS veterans and their contributions to Hawaii, including former Governor George Ariyoshi, Hawaii Supreme Court Justices Masaji Marumoto and Yoshimi Hayashi, and numerous other leaders in government, judiciary, business, labor, and education.

• Expresses the House's gratitude for the MIS veterans' invaluable contributions to modernizing Hawaii and extends best wishes for the Military Intelligence Service Veterans Club of Hawaii's National Reunion on March 27-28, 2015, marking the 70th anniversary of the Pacific War's conclusion.
