Request Legislative Reference Bureau to conduct a study of Good Samaritan laws related to rescued animals, reimbursement for animal care, and immunity from civil and criminal liability for those providing care.

Study should examine existing Good Samaritan animal protection laws in other states including Wyoming, Vermont, Washington, South Carolina, North Dakota, and Ohio.

Legislative Reference Bureau must submit findings, recommendations, and any proposed legislation to the Legislature no later than twenty days before the 2017 Regular Session convenes.

Directs transmission of a certified copy of the resolution to the Director of the Legislative Reference Bureau.
