Director of Health requested to convene a Climate Change and Health Working Group to assess climate change risks to Hawaii residents' health and develop a strategic plan to address these risks statewide.

Working group shall include public and private sector organizations focused on disease surveillance, monitoring, health communication, and workforce training related to climate change health effects.

Group will address specific health threats including water security, food safety, vector-borne diseases, respiratory effects, cardiovascular impacts, air pollution sensitivity, and mental health effects of climate change.

Director of Health or designee to serve as chairperson or co-chairperson of the working group with representation from both public and private sector health professionals.

Working group must submit findings, recommendations, and any proposed legislation to the Legislature no later than 20 days before the 2016 Regular Session convenes; group dissolves June 30, 2016.
