Urges the City and County of Honolulu to amend the Revised Ordinances of Honolulu to include removal of trees on private property as items that can be cut or removed when determined to be a public nuisance.

Notes that current ordinances under Section 41-10.4 authorize removal of weeds and vegetation on private property but do not explicitly include trees.

Identifies risks of overgrown and unmaintained trees, including falling branches that could damage property or injure people, and creation of conditions for vermin, insects, and plant diseases.

States that the Director and Building Superintendent currently have authority to issue notices requiring property owners to remove weeds within 30 days, with the City able to perform removal at the owner's expense if noncompliant.

Directs certified copies of the resolution to be transmitted to the Mayor of the City and County of Honolulu and the Chair of the City Council.
