HI SB1019

Requires all hospitals to designate a specific room on site where qualifying medical marijuana patients may use prescribed marijuana during overnight hospital stays.

Applies only to patients admitted for at least one night who present a current medical marijuana registration certificate issued under Hawaii law.

Defines "hospital" as any institution admitting patients for inpatient care, diagnosis, observation, and treatment that is regulated by the State.

Takes effect upon the Governor's approval.
