Allows lawful permanent resident aliens to acquire firearms and ammunition in the same manner as U.S. citizens

Removes restrictions that previously prohibited lawful permanent residents from purchasing or possessing firearms

Applies to all types of firearms and ammunition acquisitions under state law

Establishes that lawful permanent residents have equal rights to firearm ownership as citizens for purposes of self-defense and other lawful uses
