S.B. 1092 - Repeal of Non-General Funds

• Repeals the pineapple workers and retirees housing assistance fund (§201H-85), which has had no balance or activity in recent years.

• Repeals the transportation use special fund (§261D-1) and related provisions, as it has been unused for many years and outlived its purpose.

• Renames and reclassifies the tourism emergency trust fund as a special fund to better reflect its actual function.

• Reclassifies three housing loan special funds (established under §201H-80) as revolving funds, and reclassifies the rental housing trust fund as a revolving fund.

• Repeals chapter 206E part IV (public facility revenue bond special fund), chapter 211G (capital formation revolving fund), §225M-6 and §225M-7 (statewide geospatial information special fund), and §516-44 (fee simple residential revolving fund), with unencumbered balances lapsing to the general fund on July 1, 2015.
