S.B. 1152 Summary

• Appropriates funds for fiscal years 2015-2016 and 2016-2017 to cover collective bargaining cost items negotiated with the exclusive bargaining representative of collective bargaining unit (14).

• Covers salary increases and other cost adjustments for state officers and employees in the executive branch, judiciary, and Hawaii health systems corporation who are excluded from collective bargaining but belong to the same compensation plans as unit (14) members.

• Appropriates funds for Hawaii employer-union health benefits trust fund costs for both bargaining unit (14) members and excluded employees in the same compensation plans.

• Authorizes funding from general funds, special funds, federal funds, and other funds as indicated for various state departments and the judiciary.

• Any appropriated funds not expended or encumbered by June 30, 2016, and June 30, 2017, shall lapse as of those dates; effective date January 7, 2059.
