Amends Hawaii Revised Statutes § 711-1108 to clarify that preparation of a corpse for burial or cremation consistent with traditional Hawaiian cultural customs and practices is not abuse of a corpse.

Specifies that burial or cremation of a corpse prepared according to traditional Hawaiian cultural customs and practices shall not violate the abuse of a corpse statute.

Maintains that abuse of a corpse remains a misdemeanor offense under existing law for violations not involving traditional Hawaiian cultural practices.

Takes effect upon approval.
