S.B. 117 - Summary

• Appropriates $6,000,000 for fiscal year 2015-2016 and $6,000,000 for fiscal year 2016-2017 from general revenues for direct health care services at community health centers.

• Funds may support primary medical, dental, and behavioral health care services for uninsured and underinsured patients.

• Permits distribution of funds on a "per visit" basis and allows for additional per member per month quality incentive payments considering need in all counties.

• Department of Health shall expend the appropriated funds for these purposes.

• Act takes effect July 1, 2015.
