Prohibits police department officers and employees authorized to carry firearms from consuming alcohol while carrying a firearm or within an unspecified number of hours prior to carrying a firearm, effective July 1, 2015.

Prohibits police, Department of Public Safety, Department of Land and Natural Resources, and Department of Transportation employees authorized to carry firearms from carrying firearms after ingesting prescription medications that would impair judgment or physical response.

Exempts employees engaged in official criminal surveillance or undercover operations from the alcohol and prescription medication restrictions.

Applies the same alcohol and prescription medication restrictions to Department of Public Safety, Department of Land and Natural Resources, and Department of Transportation employees authorized to carry firearms, all effective July 1, 2015.
