Requires psychologists to complete a minimum of 18 credit hours of continuing education during each two-year licensing biennium, with at least 3 credit hours in ethics training and at least 2 credit hours in domestic violence training.

Applies beginning with the July 1, 2016, through June 30, 2018, biennium period and to all subsequent biennial renewals.

Recognizes the American Psychological Association's guidelines on continuing education for psychologists to maintain competence and stay current with emerging issues.

Addresses Hawaii's domestic violence concerns by requiring specific training on domestic violence, citing CDC data showing an estimated 142,000 women subjected to intimate partner violence in Hawaii.
