SB40 Summary

• Establishes a Behavior Analyst Program within the Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs to license behavior analysts beginning January 1, 2016.

• Requires all persons practicing behavior analysis or using the title "licensed behavior analyst" to obtain a valid license, with violations subject to fines up to $1,000 per offense.

• Sets licensing requirements including passing the Board Certified Behavior Analyst examination and maintaining active certification status with the Behavior Analyst Certification Board.
