Amends Hawaii Revised Statutes § 84-17.5 to require the state ethics commission to provide confidential copies of current financial disclosure statements to the governor, executive director, and all members of applicable state boards and commissions.

Recipients of financial disclosure statements must maintain strict confidentiality at all times and are subject to penalties under sections 84-31 and 84-39 for unauthorized release.

Requires all copies of a board or commission member's financial disclosure statement held by the governor, executive director, and other members to be destroyed upon expiration of that member's term of office.

Maintains existing provisions that financial disclosure statements are destroyed six years after filing (or after an election for candidates) and cease to be public records after the six-year period expires.

Takes effect upon approval.
