State historic preservation division must conduct a survey to identify potential historic districts and single-family residences eligible for listing on the Hawaii register of historic places.

Division must submit a report to the legislature no later than twenty days before the 2018 regular session with results including the number and types of properties examined.

$100,000 appropriated from general revenues for fiscal years 2015-2016 and 2016-2017 to the Hawaii historic preservation special fund for the survey.

$150,000 appropriated from general revenues for fiscal years 2015-2016 and 2016-2017 to the Hawaii historic preservation special fund for implementing a data management plan to digitize historic preservation records.

Act takes effect July 1, 2015.
