Appropriates $571,213 from general revenues for fiscal year 2014-2015 to Kua O Ka La public charter school for costs related to the Kilauea lava flow threat on Hawaii island.

Appropriates $1,155,595 from general revenues for fiscal year 2014-2015 to Hawaii Academy of Arts and Science public charter school for costs related to the Kilauea lava flow threat on Hawaii island.

Both appropriations will be expended by the state public charter school commission to cover incurred and anticipated expenses, including contingency planning and temporary student relocation.

Designates the appropriation as an emergency measure recommended by the governor for immediate passage under the Hawaii Constitution, Article VII, Section 9.

Takes effect upon approval.
