Expands signatory authority for Provider Orders for Life-Sustaining Treatment (POLST) forms to include physician assistants, in addition to physicians and advanced practice registered nurses

Amends the definition of "patient's provider" in Section 327K-1 to include physician assistants licensed under chapter 453

Adds physician assistants to the list of health care professionals protected from criminal prosecution, civil liability, and unprofessional conduct charges for carrying out POLST treatment orders in good faith

Increases access to POLST forms, particularly in rural areas and long-term care settings where physician assistants may be the primary medical provider

Takes effect July 1, 2015
