Removes the sunset provision from Act 255, Session Laws of Hawaii 2012, allowing its amendments to remain in effect permanently rather than repealing on July 1, 2017.

Act 255 amended the definitions of "the practice of nursing as a licensed practical nurse" and "the practice of nursing as a registered nurse" to include carrying out orders of licensed physician assistants practicing with physician supervision.

Legislature finds no harm has resulted from the 2012 changes and that the amendments have provided clarity and improved communication among health care providers and patients.

Effective upon approval.
