HI SB850

Appropriates unspecified general revenue funds to the state public charter school commission for fiscal years 2015-2016 and 2016-2017 to support charter school facilities projects.

Allocates funding based on charter school need and performance through the commission's existing facilities pilot project, which had previously used $680,000 in federal impact aid.

Requires the state public charter school commission to report to the legislature no later than twenty days before each regular session beginning in 2016 through the session following the pilot project's completion.

Commission reports must detail fund usage and provide findings, conclusions, and recommendations from the facilities pilot project.

Takes effect July 1, 2015.
